Your cat comes home calm.

Cat grooming at Promenade, by Anna and her mother. If your cat is frightened, the session stops until it is not. That is the whole method, and it is why people drive across the island for it.

Why people come to us

What owners say about the last place.

A cat is not a small dog, and it will not be hurried. Here the session pauses when your cat is frightened and starts again when it has settled, however long that takes. That single rule is what four hundred and forty reviews are actually about.

Nervous cats

“Sent a few of my cats to Angel Paws for grooming for I don't know how many times 😂 Anna & her mum is the only groomer that i trust my cats with . They know how to calm my cats down if they are scared and nervous .”
NATASHA · Google

Difficult cats

“Very thankful to have Anna as our cat groomer. She’s really very patient and gentle, even with aggressive or difficult cats.”
Danlin · Google

After other groomers

“I’m so glad I found Angel Paws Grooming! My cat has always been quite anxious after her grooming sessions with other groomers, she used to come home stressed and would even pee in her carrier.”
Elly Adrianne · Google

What a visit looks like

How a session actually runs.

01

Cats, and cats first

This is a cat grooming table. The reviews are about cats, the photographs are of cats, and the handling is built around how a cat behaves rather than how a dog does.

02

The session stops if your cat needs it to

That is the thing customers name again and again: if the cat is scared, everything pauses until it is not. Nothing is finished at the cat's expense.

03

Anna, and her mum

The same two people every visit. Owners who have been coming for years say they will not send their cats to anyone else.

04

You get your cat back settled

One owner's cat used to come home stressed enough to wee in the carrier after grooming elsewhere. She wrote that this time it came home calm.

What we do

One animal, done properly.

What a session involves depends entirely on the coat and the cat, which is why nothing here is sold as a package.

Pricing: Given when you message. Send your cat's breed and a photo of the coat and you will get a figure back before you book.

Full grooming for cats

The whole session, done by hand: wash, dry, coat work and the finish. One cat at a time rather than a line of carriers waiting.

Long and matted coats

Long-haired cats whose coats have gone past brushing. The photos on their listing are mostly exactly this job.

Nervous and anxious cats

The session pauses when the cat is frightened and picks up again once it has settled. Customers write about this more than anything else.

Cats other groomers turned away

One customer watched Anna handle cats that had been groomed halfway elsewhere and sent home unfinished.

Rescue cats

Rescues get the same session and the same patience. One was described as calm and relaxed throughout.

Regulars

Most of these reviews are from people on their third, fifth or tenth visit rather than their first.

Questions

Before you book.

My cat hates being groomed. Is that a problem?

It is the normal case here rather than the awkward one. The session pauses when your cat is frightened and resumes once it has calmed down.

Another groomer gave up on my cat halfway.

That has walked through this door before. A customer described watching cats being handled here that other groomers could not manage, including ones sent home part-groomed.

Do you groom dogs?

The reviews, the photographs and the reputation are all cats. Message and ask before you assume.

What does it cost?

It depends on the coat and the state it is in. Message on WhatsApp with your cat's breed and a photo and you will get a figure back.

When are you open?

Wednesday to Sunday, 10.30am to 6.30pm. Closed Monday and Tuesday.

Where are you?

183 Jalan Pelikat, unit 01-44, at Promenade. Look for the angel wings.

Tell her what your cat is like.

Including the bits you would apologise for elsewhere: the hissing, the halfway-groomed history, the coat you have not been able to get near. That is the conversation she is used to having.
